Coiling for Lyme

Trying to cure one case of Lyme Disease

Power Boost

Over the past several days, I’ve been trying to figure out the most efficient way to get rid of Bartonella. As I’ve said before, I think the protocol I’ve come up with, a minimum of 2 body scans a day including 10 minutes on an area of significant blood flow (heart, liver, spleen) each time is probably enough to eventually get rid of Bartonella.

But eventually seems like a long time away. I found that the herxes are getting less intense. I don’t suffer as much as I did during autumn or January and February. I thought about it and decided to see if more coiling makes any difference.

On March 19 and again on March 21, I modified my midday coiling plan to include an additional three minutes on my head.

The original plan:

Midday (total 33 minutes)

  • Spleen (for blood supply), 10 minutes
  • Abdomen, 5 minutes
  • Head: each side & top, 1 minute per, back 2 minutes
  • Spine: upper, middle, lower, 2 minutes per
  • Shoulder knobs and neck, 1 minute on each side
  • Between legs: thighs, knees, calves, 1 minute each
  • Each outer thigh, midway down thigh, 1 minute

The test plan:

Midday (total 38 minutes)

  • Spleen (for blood supply), 10 minutes
  • Abdomen, 5 minutes
  • Head: each side & top, back 2 minutes per
  • Spine: upper, middle, lower, 2 minutes per
  • Shoulder knobs and neck, 1 minute on each side
  • Between legs: thighs, knees, calves, 1 minute each
  • Each outer thigh, midway down thigh, 1 minute

In some ways, this seems like a miniscule difference. But it wasn’t.

Starting on March 20, I had some of the hyper energy I was getting when I first did full body scans. My digestive tract went a little crazy, and my abdomen blew up. I started having trouble typing, making the mistakes that only occur when I have neurological symptoms. I got a new batch of floaters in my vision. By March 21, I started having hand and foot pain again in the morning, and tingling spots on my limbs throughout the day. All these symptoms have continued through this today. On March 22, a day after the second round of extra minutes, I got a headache. It slowly got worse until last night, when it kept me from sleeping. (It was a headache on the left side of my head.) I still have it today.

The good news is that even though I was too wired to nap, from March 19 to March 22, I have been able to sleep at night. Yesterday, I calmed down enough to take a much needed nap.

This little change had a big impact. It has me rethinking how best to get rid of Bartonella. Starting today, the midday coiling session is being changed again. I think that doing my abdomen and shoulders twice a day is enough, so I’m taking them out of the midday rotation. Meanwhile, I think the most important area to coil more is my skull and spine. That’s where the trouble seems to live.

New plan:

Midday (total 33 minutes)

  • Spleen (for blood supply), 10 minutes
  • Head: each side & top, back 3 minutes per
  • Spine: upper, middle, lower, 3 minutes per
  • Between legs: thighs, knees, calves, 1 minute each
  • Each outer thigh, midway down thigh, 1 minute

For now, I plan to do the midday coiling every day that I’m not also coiling for Lyme. On those days, it is just too much time and too much for my body to handle from the Lyme herxes. (I credit the Lyme herxes for my continued ability to sleep.)

Coiling Record

To put my changes in perspective, I’ve got my coiling record for March. At the beginning of March I went on a vacation to the deserts of southern California. I had a great time. I moved around a lot. I gave my body time to cleanse the Bartonella and Lyme toxins that were building up. I was incredibly happy to be in the desert, and I believe that gave my body a boost.

The downside was that the Lyme and Bartonella built up in the absence of coiling. I could feel the symptoms mounting. So when I got home, I made sure to coil for Lyme right away and to build up the Bartonella coiling to full strength over a few days. (Bartonella Protocol, Lyme Protocol)

  • March 1: Bartonella – spleen 10 mins in the morning (then leave for vacation)
  • March 2-7: no coiling (on vacation)
  • March 8: Bartonella – chest 10 mins before bed (the night I got back from vacation)
  • March 9: Bartonella – morning full body scan, liver 10 mins at night; Lyme – full body scan
  • March 10: Bartonella – morning and evening full body scans, midday spleen 10 mins
  • March 11: Bartonella – morning, midday and evening full body scans (3 total)
  • March 12: Bartonella – morning, midday and evening full body scans (3 total)
  • March 13: Bartonella – morning full body scan (menstrual cycle began and the day was shot)
  • March 14: Lyme – full body scan (due to menstrual cycle, decided not to do Bartonella)
  • March 15: Bartonella – morning full body scan
  • March 16: Bartonella – morning, midday and evening full body scans (3 total)
  • March 17: Bartonella – morning and evening full body scans
  • March 18: Bartonella – morning and evening full body scans; Lyme – full body scan
  • March 19: Bartonella – morning, midday and evening full body scans (3 total), with 3 extra minutes on head at midday
  • March 20: Bartonella – morning and evening full body scans, midday spleen 10 mins
  • March 21: Bartonella – morning, midday and evening full body scans (3 total), with 3 extra minutes on head at midday
  • March 22: Bartonella – morning and evening full body scans; Lyme – full body scan
  • March 23: Bartonella – morning and evening full body scans
  • March 24: Bartonella – morning, midday and evening full body scans (3 total), using new midday plan

Lyme Herxes

Since I got back from my vacation, the Lyme herxes haven’t been that bad. The Lyme symptoms have been annoying, especially the joint pain and popping and the intense fatigue. The fatigue gets worse on the day I do the Lyme coiling, but eases up the next day. The way I know for sure that I’m still herxing is the long nights asleep (10+ hours) and the Lyme-smelling urine. As a result of the milder herxes, I’m the frequency of Lyme coiling sessions. I went from every 5 days to every 4 days. Now I’m going to try twice a week, every 3 to 4 days. I hope this gets me through the Lyme flare more quickly.

Probiotics

I’ve been taking VSL#3 for a seven days. It’s hard to tell what the probiotic is doing compared to what the Bartonella herxes are doing. The main thing I’m noticing has happened again (compared to last time I took VSL#3 and previous increases in probiotic supplementation) is that my skin is breaking out – face & neck and elsewhere. I’m not sure what to make of it, but there is enough going on to be worth making a note of.
