It think I’ve had a migraine for the past three days. That’s why I haven’t been blogging.
My headache was triggered by the sunlight which I couldn’t avoid while driving to and from Connecticut to be with a friend and see my naturopath(more on that visit in another post). My eyeballs were the first to start hurting. Then it turned into a very intense pain on the right side of my head. My light sensitivity went through the roof.
That was Saturday.
Sunday I should have stayed in bed. Instead I tried to find a part to repair my sink. I had a friend come visit. I went to the farmers market. I had dinner at my parents’ house. All of those I did in pain. I woke up Sunday morning with mild pain on the right side of my head. But being outside in the sun made it worse. I think this would be gone if I had been more respectful of my body yesterday.
Today I had a mild headache again when I woke up. I tried listening to the radio, but sound bothered me. It got worse when I went outside. I decided to do yoga anyway. Mostly, that was a very good idea, but there were a few moments when I thought my eyes would pop. The tension in my shoulders and neck resolved for the duration of class and the hours immediately following. Now it is night, and my head is killing me.
The only thing that helps for a few minutes is ingesting cold drinks or food (like ice cream, or my homemade no sugar lemon ices).
I’m not enjoying the computer screen. But I can just about tolerate it enough to write…for now.
Saturday
Coiling
- Candida, abdomen, 10 minutes; chest, 2 minutes
I didn’t do anything else because I was too wiped out when I got home and the sound of the coil was making my head hurt more.
Detox
- homeopathic support
- lemon water
Body
Mild night sweat. Woke up with very achy joints. Driving made my shoulders tense and that put me in a lot of upper body pain as the tension spread. By the end, driving was very difficult.
I needed a nap before I came home.
I felt like I had two headaches at the same time. One was an extension of the tension in my shoulders, creeping up my neck along with pain in my spine, into my head. The other was a sharper pain on the right side of my head, starting with eye pain.
I still had an itchy chest and hard, swollen abdomen. My chest wasn’t as bad as previous days. I also didn’t have much of my usual foods, including the detox liquids and the mulberries, which I found out that I’m allergic to (to be discussed in the post about my naturopath).
I didn’t sleep well that night.
Sunday
Coiling
- Babesia, ilium, 1 minute each side; knees/elbows, 1 minute; chest, 10 minutes
- Bartonella, chest, 2 minutes; abdomen, 5 minutes
I did Babesia first, in case I couldn’t manage any more coiling sessions. When I was able to do the second one, I chose Bartonella because it had been too many days.
Detox
- kombucha
- skin brushing
- lemon water
I stopped the homeopathic heart formula. I need to let that out of my system before I try the constitutional homeopathic remedy. Then I can’t use the formula again for a while because it will interrupt the action of the constitutional remedy.
Body
No real night sweat, but I woke up in the morning (after not enough sleep) with damp hair.
Still aches and pains in my joints and upper body muscular tension, especially my shoulders and neck. I put some mineral ice gel on it before bed.
The rash wasn’t red. It was less itchy.
The swelling in my abdomen is starting to go down.
The headache was killer, making it hard for me to think straight by 6pm. I spent the evening lying down in low light with minimal noise. That made my headache stop increasing in intensity, but it didn’t make it better.
Monday (Today)
Coiling
Back to the usual.
- Babesia, ilium, 1 minute each side; knees/elbows, 1 minute; chest, 10 minutes
- Candida, abdomen, 10 minutes; chest, 2 minutes
Detox
I’m still unfocused. I forgot to use the skin brush until after I was soaped up.
- kombucha
- juiced greens
- yoga
- lemon water
I added in a new multivitamin today, Thorne V. I was using a mineral only supplement (which I’ll keep taking until I finish it since it supposedly supports the detox process). I was going to wait, but I read that B vitamins help with migraines, so I thought I’d start sooner rather than later.
Body
No night sweat, barely damp in the morning. I managed to sleep for just about 8 hours. That was nice after a few restless nights of inadequate sleeping time.
My abdomen is slightly less swollen. My chest is less itchy, except when I’m very hot (like on the way to yoga in 88 deg F weather). The rest of my body is itchy tonight.
My headache is still here. I’m still very achy and there is still extra muscle tension in my shoulders and neck. I was okay in the morning, with tolerable pain levels. I felt better after yoga (except my hips which hurt more because I stretched them out of their stiffness). But as the afternoon and evening progressed, my pain level has risen. Right now, the left side of my head hurts, including my eye and my ear and up into my scalp and into my face. My arms and hands and hips and shoulders and knees and ribs and back hurt. I’m feeling kind of dizzy and have both floaters and altered vision.
I think I’m done.
P.S. The title of the post has me singing a Jane’s Addiction song in my head.
