I took quite a detox bath today. It was 109 deg F (maybe 109.5). I got really hot. Really hot. I sweated in the tub. I didn’t last the full 20 minutes. Then I cut my cool-down shower short because I felt nauseated and like I needed to get off my feet.
So I stepped out of the shower, attempted to dry off, put on a robe and lay down on the couch. I was still sweating a ton. I opened my robe to let myself cool some more. It took 20 minutes for my body to cool enough that the nausea subsided and I could stand again.
This was part of the reason I got the BioMat. I knew I needed a good sweat because my spine was killing me for the second day of Herxing. But I have a hard time getting the water temperature to be consistent from one bath to the next…even when I use a thermometer to measure it.
Hearts and spines
My acupuncturist told me that when the heart is out of whack, you can always find a corresponding problem in the vertebra just behind it. Well, that vertebra on me hurts a bunch. It keeps my mind wandering back to coiling for Babesia. I think I’ll try it as soon as this Lyme Herx passes.
While waiting for this Herx to pass, I’m only coiling for Candida.
- Candida, abdomen, 10 minutes
I’m continuing to have tiny, little pimples appear around my body. Just single ones that don’t hurt or get too swollen. I think it is from killing off the Candida. I tried to find a list of detox reaction symptoms for Candida but I’m too tired now to truly focus. I remember reading that one can get a Herx from killing off Candida. I haven’t had the kind of reaction I’ve had to Lyme die-offs. The only special things have been skin break-outs and extra gas (like tonight). I hope the detox symptoms end there.
Obviously there was a bath today. And then the usual.
- homeopathic support
- juiced greens
- skin brushing
- detox bath
- infrared heat (30 minutes, low setting)
Last night I had a night sweat with shirt change. (Herx? or Babesia getting worse?) I woke up groggy with a general achy feeling and strong pain up and down my spine. Prior to my bath, I had really sharp pains in my rib cage, symmetrically on both sides, as though I was wearing razor sharp underwire. I had a headache. And I had that sharp pain on the left hip/upper thigh.
That all let up after the bath. The rest of the day I’ve been somewhat tired, with knee pain and hand pain. The headache came and went several times. At about 8pm, I noticed I’m so sleepy that I just want to go to bed for the night. I’m still up typing this.
Now I’m off to bed early.
