Labor Day Weekend

Monday, September 5, 2011

This weekend was one of the last set of days to aim for people and not make my health my only priority. It was hard. My body is already struggling with the awakening Lyme bacteria cysts…and I got my period, which was worse than earlier this summer but not a day on the floor utterly ill.

I spent time with my sister and her son who were in town. Then there were lots of people who wanted to see them, so I had to share. I spent time with lots of people. It was fun and tiring.

Carnivore

Saturday we had an all-afternoon meal with some cousins. It was fresh seafood. I swear I ate almost no plant matter all day. I had shrimp and mussels and a huge (>2lb) lobster. The only vegetable I had was a piece of celery that was cooked with the lobsters.

It’s very rare that I have a day with no veggies. It was different. I’m also usually careful about not consuming too much seafood. But I think I’m overdoing it a little. Sometimes my own decisions surprise me.

Herbivore

Sunday I ate roasted vegetables all day. My mother had an open house for people to come meet my nephew. She always makes lots of veggies (there were meatballs and baked chicken, too) and everyone loves eating them. I had zucchini, yellow squash, asparagus, artichoke hearts, and chick peas. It was great. I probably ate about 2 lbs of veggies between lunch and dinner. Then I had some more today. Does that make up for Saturday?

Eating out

This morning, I said goodbye to my sister at the airport and came home to chill out for a little bit. I spent the afternoon with my acupuncturist. Somehow, I agreed to go to a local Indian restaurant. I live in a neighborhood with tons of amazing South Asian food. I love all the smells and flavors. Unfortunately, for most of the time since I moved back to Jackson Heights, I’ve been allergic to most of the mundane ingredients.

I attempted to order the one thing on the menu that looked safe: Dal Diwan. It’s a simple dish of yellow lentils. I was able to avoid most of the tomatoes. But I ate a lot of rice with it (the first no-no) and I wanted some raita (yogurt with cucumbers) and I knew I shouldn’t but I did.

On the way back to my apartment, my friend asked how I was feeling. My eyes were itchy, my abdomen was aching and swelling, my knees were killing me. She said, “That’s it? You’re as white as a ghost.”

I’ve been pretty out of it the rest of the evening. My abdomen has reached the 5 month pregnancy shape. It’s going to take me a few days to recover.

Food. My unrequited true love.

Saturday

Coiling

I’ve been trying a few Tinea versicolor frequencies. None of them seem to do anything other than make it worse. I have one more frequency to try before I head out to get some anti-fungal foot cream.

  • Tinea versicolor (8 amps) 491 Hz, chest rash, 5 minutes
  • Bartonella, chest, 2 minutes; abdomen, 5 minutes
  • Babesia, ilium, 1 minute each side; knees/elbows, 1 minute; liver, 5 minutes; chest, 5 minutes

Detox

  • skin brushing
  • nap

Body

Light night sweat near morning. Cranky, weepiness when I couldn’t sleep in the middle of the night (prior to Saturday morning) for two hours. I guess I just needed to have a melt-down.

My period arrived with all sorts of extra neurological Lyme symtoms: tingling, shooting pains, low back pain, headache, light sensitivity. There was the usual joint and bone pain. Great. Then there were also cramps, fatigue and crankiness.

Sunday

Coiling

  • Tinea versicolor (8 amps) 616 Hz, chest rash, 5 minutes
  • Babesia, ilium, 1 minute each side; knees/elbows, 1 minute; liver, 5 minutes; chest, 5 minutes; shoulder blades, 15 seconds each
  • Candida, abdomen, 10 minutes; chest, 2 minutes

Detox

I increased the amount of green tea antioxidants from 2 pills to 3 pills a day. I’m hoping this helps to clean my blood out a bit more.

  • skin brushing
  • lemon water

Body

Massive night sweat. My shirt was so drenched, I didn’t want to put another one on. Didn’t do a great job sleeping.

I was achy and tired all day. But I was a trooper while everyone was visiting. By 9pm, I was a zombie and got myself home to rest and sleep.

Monday

Coiling

  • Tinea versicolor (8 amps) 616 Hz, chest rash, 5 minutes
  • Babesia, ilium, 1 minute each side; knees/elbows, 1 minute; liver, 5 minutes; chest, 5 minutes; shoulder blades, 15 seconds each
  • Bartonella, chest, 2 minutes; abdomen, 5 minutes
  • Candida, abdomen, 10 minutes; chest, 2 minutes

Detox

  • skin brushing

Body

Another big night sweat. And I was restless in my sleep, twisting the covers and such.

I was pretty tired again today. My pain level was low to moderate until I ate all the allergenic food. Then I got sick. I’ve been out of it the rest of the evening. In addition to the stuff listed above, I’ve had a headache, poor concentration and fatigue.
