Coiling for Lyme

Trying to cure one case of Lyme Disease

Even the bad days aren’t as bad

Yesterday was a wash. Between yoga and coiling the top half of my body for Lyme, I was knocked out. Every time I sat up or stood up, all I wanted to do was lie down. And when I was lying down, I mostly wanted to read. My mind was too active to sleep during the day. And when I wasn’t distracted by a really good book, I noticed I was in pain. Mostly it was my joints (all of them), my back and a mild headache. My appetite was low and so was my blood pressure. I was thirsty and dehydrated all day, no matter what I drank. And I had a big craving for kale (so I ate an entire head, steamed).

Still, I didn’t have a blinding headache, which is a huge improvement on my life. I didn’t have severe neurological pain in my limbs. I didn’t have the extreme low blood pressure symptoms (nausea, white-outs, dizziness). I didn’t have diarrhea. I wasn’t on the verge of tears all day. And I could concentrate on a book, which is also a big improvement. I lost the momentum I had on the weekend house project, but I’ll get back to it.

Today, I’m still herxing. I was pretty tired and had to lie down for most of the morning. By around 2pm, I had enough energy to shower and do laundry. Then I was done for the day. I took a quick nap before dinner. Not enough energy to do anything else at all. My joints are still achy. I’ve got floaters in my vision. I had ringing in my ear tonight for a while.

Tonight I do the second half of the Lyme coiling for the week. The bottom half of my body hasn’t generated as much herxing thus far.

I’m pretty sure all the improvement is because my body can handle the toxins better. My impression is that more and more Lyme bacteria are coming out of cyst form. The herx felt worse this week, even though I didn’t have any kidney pain. It also came on faster than last week.

Compared to this time last year, my bad days are much more tolerable…not yet enjoyable, but not miserable either.

VSL#3 update

Surprisingly, my intestines are starting to settle down. I’m not quite as bloated. My bowel movements aren’t quite so urgent. The gas attacks aren’t quite so noxious or copious. It seems that day by day, the probiotics are resetting the microbial environment to one that is healthier for my body.
