Shifting Herx Pattern

Friday, October 14, 2011

Ever since I started taking diatomaceous earth, my Herxes have shifted. I still get headaches, but the rest of the cascade has gotten milder. Even the headaches aren’t as bad as they were this summer.

Even still, I could feel it today. Last night I coiled my spine and head for Lyme Disease. Then I didn’t sleep most of the night. This is my usual first Herx symptom. Today my joints started crunching and snapping pretty loudly and roughly. Tonight I have a headache coming on. That’s what made me realize that the Herxes haven’t been too bad the past couple of weeks. Mostly low-level annoyance.

I think that the detoxing I’ve done so far has taken me from completely toxic with no capacity to spare for new problems to having some capacity in my body to deal with the neurotoxins and other toxins from a Lyme bacterial die-off. It’s been a long time in coming, with years of colon and liver and kidney cleanses, colonics, anti-oxidants, hot baths, BioMat treatments, juicing, kombucha, skin brushing, acupuncture and a variety of other cleansing activities. I’m sure it helps to keep the diatomaceous earth going.

So I’m heading off to bed with a headache, hopefully to sleep tonight and wake up with less pain.

Coiling

I finished my Lyme plan for the week. I’m still doing my sacrum every day, but other than that, I’ll start up again on Monday.

  • Bartonella, abdomen, 5 minutes; chest, 2 minutes
  • Babesia, ilium, 1 minute each side; knees/elbows, 1 minute; liver, 5 minutes; chest, 5 minutes; shoulder blades, 30 seconds each; shoulders, 30 seconds; feet, 1 minute; central back, 1 minute; low back, 1 minute; upper back, 1 minute
  • Lyme, sacrum, 2 minutes
  • Candida, abdomen, 10 minutes; chest, 2 minutes

Detox

  • skin brushing
  • nap
  • BioMat (30 mins level 2)
  • diatomaceous earth

Body

No sleep (or only 3 or so hours) makes for a cranky girl. I stayed in bed much longer, resting, but not sleeping. As a result, my pain level was pretty high today.

My shoulders and jaw were doing pretty badly, cracking a lot. The bones in my face hurt. (I coiled them yesterday for the second time ever.)

My digestion is a little slow. Lots of gas but no movement. I was pretty nauseated for much of the morning. Not sure if it was a stomach problem or low blood pressure.

I’ve been tired and slow all day, many hours lying down. But despite all this, my mind is active and I’m in a good mood.
