My sister has a great love and knowledge of food. Whenever I get to spend time with her, my palate gets a major treat. Today was one amazing day in the world of food.
It started with the farmer’s market in Williamsburg. There is a stand by a farm called Goats R Us, which sells lavender-honey goats milk gelato. It was fantastic. Not too sweet. Very refreshing. Fabulous flavor. And made exclusively with goats milk and cheese, so I didn’t have to deal with food allergies.
I finally got my act together to juice some greens today. Juiced greens satisfy a certain kind of thirst that I felt with the hot weather.
Helen wanted to grill today. She’s a master griller. She grilled shrimp, tofu, hallumi cheese (sheep and goats milk, solid enough to grill), jumbo artichokes, fennel, summer squash and sweet potatoes. She also made a fresh herb dressing which we used on the vegetables. The shrimp was out of this world, fresh from North Carolina and with a perfectly seasoned marinade beforehand. The hallumi was grilled just enough to get the grill flavor to complement it’s regular flavor. She parboiled the artichokes before grilling them. They taste nice with the smoky flavor and are soft enough to eat. The summer squash was grilled to a perfect texture and with the fresh herb dressing (sauteed herbs with white wine and butter), it was heavenly.
It was a culinary delight. Much more interesting to eat than the strange things I’ve seen chefs make on Iron Chef.
Coiling
- Bartonella, abdomen, 5 minutes; chest, 2 minutes
- Babesia, chest, 5 minutes; abdomen, 5 minutes; ilium, 1 minute each side; knees/elbows, 1 minute
- Candida, abdomen, 10 minutes; chest, 2 minutes; face, 2 minutes
Detox
I stopped two of the homeopathic remedies, the Pulmonik and the Cordiak. I’m saving them for when I start the intense coiling again that bothers my heart and lungs. I’m continuing with the other ones, PleoSanuvis and Mundipur.
Since I arrived, I’ve switched my multivitamin to a liquid multi-mineral supplement, Somaplex Multi (20 drops twice a day with food). I figure I get enough of the vitamins between food and the other supplements I take.
- homeopathic support
- juiced greens
- kombucha
- skin brushing
- BioMat
- nap
Body
I had another night sweat last night. Other than that, I slept very deeply, so deeply that I could barely get myself to the bathroom when I woke up in the middle of the night..
I was tired today. I had a slow morning and I needed to lie down a few times during the day. I’m still having some hand pain and foot pain, mostly in the joints. It isn’t stopping me from using them, but I notice I’m a little slow.
I’ve had light sensitivity all day and a mild earache in my right ear. I’m having urinary hesitation occasionally during the day. And my urine still has a Lyme detox smell.
For the past week or so, I’ve had a slight rash on my chest. It itches like crazy. The worst part is the skin over my sternum. Sometimes the itch extends out over my breasts and straight up to my collar bone. Then it calms down and concentrates on my sternum again. I’m not really sure what’s causing it.
Tonight I have a headache. Nothing worse than usual.
One nice thing is that I can feel the muscles in my upper arms getting firmer. That comes from carrying my almost 14 lb nephew around.
