Chronic pain for 5 years? No problem. I’m a trooper. I fear it before it arrives, especially if I know it’s coming. But once it arrives, I treat myself tenderly, like a wounded warrior, and do my best to heal enough to get back on the battlefield.
Sinus congestion? A cold? I’m miserable. I hate when there is something going on in my head. Yuck.
I’m not actually sure I have a cold. Maybe. I saw a friend yesterday who teaches first graders. I saw a different friend whose daughter just started kindergarden. Both of them seem to be coming down with something. It’s possible I caught something from one of them.
But I’m not so sure. I took ketoconozole last night. I woke up itching my chest like crazy in the middle of the night. Then, this morning, my nose was stuffed, my voice was crackly and my sinuses burned. I’m guessing that the anti-fungal is disturbing the fungal infection so my body is finally responding a little as well.
It was a crappy day. The weather was rainy and damp. I have what appears to be a head cold with sneezing and sore throat. Following my doctor’s advice, I reduced my dose of florinef. It took a while to hit me. But when it did, I felt a little off balance and my vision was slightly off. Those are both symptoms I get when my blood pressure is a little too low. Between the two disturbances, I was exhausted all day. I never left the house, never managed to do laundry or straighten out my kitchen, barely checked my email. I talked on the phone for a while but my concentration was off.
Then to top it off, my temperature is malfunctioning. I woke up cold. I took a hot shower and bundled up. Then I got hot. Very hot. I broke out in a sweat and had to strip down a few layers to cool off. Then I got cold again. The cycle repeated all day, cold then hot then sweaty then cold.
Miserable.
But I’m pretending that this is all in good fun. I watched a few episodes of Castle with my former crush Nathan Fillion from Firefly. I did a few killer sudoku puzzles. I listened to the radio. All day, I stayed horizontal or nearly horizontal, sometimes with a blanket, sometimes without. I rested. I’ll need to do the same tomorrow and thank my lucky stars for the extra underwear that sits in the back of the drawer and gives me some leeway on when to do laundry.
Coiling
Coiling my major joints didn’t seem to generate any blowback, so I did it again today. I had some strange nerve sensations for about 15 minutes in my right arm, but I’m not letting that slow me down.
I also added in my shoulder blades for Babesia again. I’d like to get to a point where the load is low enough that I don’t get a Herx and can do it every day, then add in more bones.
- Bartonella, abdomen, 5 minutes; chest, 2 minutes
- Babesia, ilium, 1 minute each side; knees/elbows, 1 minute; liver, 5 minutes; chest, 5 minutes; shoulder blades, 15 seconds each
- Lyme, hips, 1 minute each side; knees/elbows 1 minute; shoulders 15 seconds each
- Candida, abdomen, 10 minutes; chest, 2 minutes
Detox
One of the most important things, as far as I can tell, that I need to do is rest when there is a lot going on in my body. Exercise is great when I have a little extra energy. But when I’m wiped out, I try not to divert my body’s resources to my external agenda.
- juiced greens
- diatomaceous earth
- skin brushing
- nap + lots of rest
Body
Night sweat last night, mild, mostly head and neck. I woke up cold and stuffy (as mentioned earlier). It took me a few hours to be ready to get up and when I did, my feet had the sharp knife in the sole sensation I’ve not had to deal with for a few weeks. It went away in less than a minute of walking around.
Lots of rest. Lots of time to notice that the only significant pain was in my hand joints. As I’m writing, I’m thinking I may need to add my hands and feet to the Lyme coiling routine.
My chest rash bothers me (itchy, hot, red) when I heat up in the temperature cycles I’ve been dealing with today.
My vision still seems a little funny, like the third dimension is out of sync with the other two. I’ve got floaters in my vision as well. I’m having trouble typing tonight, lots of mistakes, more than usual.
I have Lyme-smelling urine again today. At least that’s still cleaning out. My bowels were a little upset. Hard stools with mucus followed by greenish soft stools. Both accompanied by stinky gas. I think this fungal infection might be in multiple body systems.
