Coiling for Lyme

Trying to cure one case of Lyme Disease

Grapefruit Seed Extract

Here’s the newest addition to my program: grapefruit seed extract (GSE). Since I’m now allergic to two anti-fungals, my doctor asked me to try liquid GSE and see what happens. I bought a small bottle at the Vitamin Shoppe today. I took a dose with dinner.

Now, as I’m reading about it online, I find out that there is a controversy as to whether it has antimicrobial and antifungal properties. It could be some contaminant that’s added to the extract that has its own antimicrobial properties. I don’t really know what to think.

The thing is that I don’t like taking broad spectrum antimicrobials because I don’t want any of the Lyme bacteria to encyst while I’m trying to kill the active form of it.

Glad I purchased a small bottle.

Coiling

I’m getting daring with the Lyme coiling sessions. I’m sure I’m tempting an unexpectedly huge Herx by trying all these new places at a minute a piece, but what the heck. I’ll stop when I hit something interesting.

  • Babesia, ilium, 1 minute each side; knees/elbows, 1 minute; liver, 5 minutes; chest, 5 minutes; shoulder blades, 30 seconds each; feet, 1 minute
  • Lyme, liver, 1 minute; chest, 1 minute; front of thighs, 1 minute
  • Candida, abdomen, 10 minutes; chest, 2 minutes

Detox

I made myself nervous by coiling my liver this afternoon. So I took a welchol when a headache started to come on. I’m not sure I needed it then, but as I write tonight, I think it might have been a wise choice.

  • kombucha
  • juiced greens
  • diatomaceous earth
  • welchol
  • skin brushing
  • rest
  • walk outside

Body

Tossing, turning, sweating and chills last night. Vivid dreams. Several trips to the toilet. Sleeping is not working out so well.

Tired today. Tired but mobile. I managed to get myself out of the house at around 3pm to pick up the GSE and a few essentials. With a little energy tomorrow, I hope to do laundry. It’s a week overdue.

My head cold is now a chest cold. I’m coughing and my bronchi are irritated and occasionally sending up sputum. My ears are popping. My sinuses are congested.

My ache level is medium. Right now my elbows are the most painful part of my body. Earlier today it was my knees.

I’ve got a headache coming on. Floaters in my vision. My ears hurt.

My skin is breaking out. And my intestines are still irritated.

My blood pressure seems okay today. I’ve been feeling chilled all day with no major sweats. I think I’m doing okay with coming off florinef.

No single body part is at a disabling pain level, but taken all together, especially with fatigue that had me on my back until noon, and I’m not in great shape.

  1. Hi
Thanks for the info about GSE.
I wanted to share with you how much my near-infrared sauna is helping me. WOW! I love it! My husband built it for me (from stuff bought at homedepot) and we placed it in a small bathroom that is very rarely used. Someday we will build a booth for it. My joint pain is almost gone and it gives me an energized feeling. It has improved my personal hygiene too, because I’m forced to bathe everyday I sauna. (This is a challenge when I’m really sick.)
Also, you mentioned headaches. I have almost eliminated my headaches (almost) by STRICTLY avoiding anything with any form of MSG, and it comes hidden under hundreds of names. I went online and started learning these names and checking labels and my headaches are nearly zero now.
    Keep on keepin on!

  2. Actually, GSE prevents spiros from going into cyst form according to this study — http://www.siv.no/webpro/dokument/564000_Citrosept.proof.pdf
