Coiling for Lyme

Trying to cure one case of Lyme Disease

Pendulum

Another week of going back and forth. I had a blast on Halloween, getting dressed up, going to the parade, being outside, hanging out with a friend.

Then Tuesday, when I should have started menstruating, I spent the day in bed, nauseated, off balance, low blood pressure, trying not to puke, facing down an ugly headache, feeling crappy.

Wednesday my period came and I was crampy, but I had things to do. I managed to take a nap part way through the day, but it wasn’t quite enough. Too much driving. Too many people to see. I could have used a low key day, but it wasn’t reality. Then I was wide awake for way too long that night because I couldn’t settle down.

Thursday I was worn out but I had a pleasant low key lunch with a friend. We got to laugh a lot at the variety of funny things in life. Then I saw two other friends consecutively and by the end I was worn out and cranky. I couldn’t settle down last night again. I got my second wind and it wouldn’t blow away.

Today I got off to a quick start and took care of a bunch of things before meeting with a new friend for an artistic collaboration. We met for three hours and figured out the basics for me to start on my part. It was fun and connected. We listened to a little music and looked at book formats for poetry. But when she left, my plans for the rest of the day went out the window. All I managed to do was nap, then eat and listen to the news on the radio. I’ve been a little out of it all day. I swung too far in the active direction and now my body is taking me back to the slow-motion, restful end of the spectrum.

I’m tired and trying not to get a second wind. Hopefully I’ll be in bed early tonight. Then I want to find a reasonable balance of rest and activities.

Body

I was tired and sick and sleepy and bored and in pain. I had a night sweat shortly before I woke up in the morning. My body hurt. My stomach was looking for an excuse to do a quick evacuation out the emergency exit (but I managed it well and fasted between breakfast and 4pm until it calmed down). My vision was a bit off. I had abdominal cramps. I slept for an extra 3 hours after I got up that morning, then took another nap later in the day. The first nap led to a big sweat in my sleep, enough to require a shirt change (and since it was light out, I could see how wet my shirt was!).

I did some reading and a little bit of time on the phone but the day was a wash.

Wednesday (Nov 2)

Coiling

I imported my new positioning for the back of my legs from the Lyme coiling session to the Babesia one. I lie on my stomach and put the coil on my butt and bend my knees so I can do my heal at the same time. Then I coil my mid-calves and mid-thighs at the same time, also with my knees bent. Then I straighten my legs and coil the back of my knees and the edges of my calves and thighs. I think I get more coverage with this approach.

  • Candida, chest, 2 minutes; abdomen, 10 minutes
  • Bartonella, chest, 2 minutes; abdomen, 5 minutes
  • Babesia, back of legs, 3 positions described above, 1 minute each location; back of ilium, 1 minute each side; 3 sections of spine, 1 minute each; shoulder blades, 1 minute each side; back of head, 1minute; top of head, 1 minute; liver, 10 minutes
  • Babesia, top of feet & ankle, 1 minute; shins together, 1 minute; knees/elbows together, 1 minute; front of thighs together, 1 minute; front of ilium, 1 minute each side; sides of ribs, 1 minute each side; front of shoulders, 1 minute each; sides of head, 1 minute each; chest, 10 minutes
  • Lyme, ilium front, 3 minutes each side; ilium back, 3 minutes each side; hips/outer thighs, 3 minutes each; sacrum, 2 minutes

Detox

  • skin brushing

Body

I had a night sweat during the night that required a shirt change. I slept lightly, kind of expecting my period…which finally arrived in the morning.

I had cramps on and off all day. My eyes felt tired. I needed a nap. I had a headache for a while. But I was okay. I probably did too much running around because I couldn’t settle down to think about making time to really rest.

Thursday (Nov 3)

Coiling

I increased the coiling time for Lyme on the sides of my ribs to 3 minutes. I’m not completely sure why I stopped at 2 minutes before.

  • Lyme, sides of ribs/under arms, 3 minutes each side; front of shoulders, 2 minutes each; back of shoulders/shoulder blades, 2 minutes each; chest, 3 minutes; sacrum, 2 minutes

Detox

  • skin brushing
  • biomat
  • diatomaceous earth

Body

Another night sweat. I’m wondering what happens when I get my period to give me night sweats. I wonder if it could potentially be from not coiling for Babesia for 2 days then going back to the twice a day schedule. Not really sure.

I was dragging for most of the day, wishing I had cleared my schedule, even though I was happy to see each of the people who stopped by. I was tired. That was it. And I had a bit of a headache for part of the day.

When I was at lunch, I had some rice. It gave me gas later in the day. I think I’m peeling away another layer of candida since I started up on the 5LAC again. I continue to have new pimples and extra gas. I’m hoping that the symptoms go away even as the candida is removed. I’ve also been considering whether I might go up to 2 packets a day after a month or 2, now that I’m not also taking an immune suppressant.

Friday (today)

Coiling

Since I missed Tuesday, I coiled for Lyme twice today, doing what I normally do on days 4 & 5 of my Lyme Coiling Plan. I’m at the full coiling plan this week for the first time. The last part was increasing the coiling time on my head to 3 minutes in each location. I wonder if I’ll have a big Herx or if I’m nearly through my Lyme flare…

  • Lyme, upper/central back, 3 minutes each; sacrum/low back, 5 minutes; lower/upper abdomen, 3 minutes each; sides of head, 3 minutes each; crown/back of head, 3 minutes each

Detox

  • skin brushing
  • biomat
  • juiced greens (4 cups worth)
  • nap + rest
  • diatomaceous earth

Body

I couldn’t fall asleep last night, I was too wired. But I was quite happy to wake up this morning after 6 1/2 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

I was wired this morning, then I crashed. My head felt funny, like I was off balance, but not exactly. It feels like my skull is trying to separate from my brain on the top of my head and a little in the back. It’s kind of a dull, pulling ache. Thus, the rest of the day has been biomat and rest.

I’ve got some pain in my shoulders and arms, actually all my joints are a little achy. I’m hoping for some early, long sleep tonight.
